Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of different Bible teaching methods on students' understanding of faith, focusing on how various instructional strategies impact comprehension, engagement, and application of biblical teachings. The research examines traditional lecture-based methods, interactive discussions, multimedia integration, and experiential learning across multiple settings, including churches, schools, small study groups, online platforms, and family environments. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected through surveys, interviews, and observational studies to assess the effectiveness of each teaching method. The results indicate that interactive and student-centered approaches, such as discussions, storytelling, and technology-enhanced lessons, significantly improve students' comprehension and personal connection to faith. In contrast, passive learning methods, such as rote memorization and one-way lectures, show lower effectiveness in fostering deep spiritual engagement. The study also finds that contextual factors play a crucial role, with different teaching strategies being more effective depending on the learning environment. These findings align with previous research emphasizing the importance of active learning in religious education while providing new insights into the role of multimedia tools and experiential teaching. The study offers practical recommendations for religious educators, pastors, and teachers to enhance Bible teaching by adopting adaptive, interactive, and technology-supported methods. Future research should explore the long-term impact of different teaching approaches on faith development and moral decision-making.
